2010 Music Website Heat Map

The music industry continues to morph at an incredible pace. Ryan Van Etten created this 'heat map' to show the relative activity of music websites in 2010. While it's very clear that music distribution continues to grow on the web, you may find a few surprises as well. The map is scaled according to web activity--the larger the box, the greater the activity on that site. Green equals positive growth and red represents negative growth.
